Is there a deposit?
To book a session, a deposit of 50% of the total for the session reserved will be due within 72 hours of receiving the invoice for the booked session, or immediately if booked within 72 hour window. The deposit is required to secure your session. The remainder of the balance will be due by the end of the session.
To book an "off site" session, a deposit of 50% of the total for the session reserved will be due within 72 hours of receiving the invoice for the booked session, or immediately if booked within 72 hour window, with the remaining balance due upon completion of that day's session. Extra travel/lodging fees or any additional fees associated with remote recordings will also be paid prior to any recording taking place.
For services occurring solely on-line (mixing/mastering) a deposit of 50% of the total cost of titles submitted for services will be due upon submission of said titles to StudioE519. Work will not commence until the deposit has been paid in full. The remaining balance will be due upon completion.
In all cases, with the exception of on-line services, deposits are non-refundable once a session has taken place. Full balances due for recording sessions must be paid before recorded materials will be released to client. Full project balances must be paid prior to any mixes being released to client.
-
When is my deposit due?
Deposits will be due no later than 72 hours after a booking has been confirmed or at the beginning of recording session, whichever occurs first, unless other arrangements have been made with StudioE519.
-
What if I don't pay my deposit by the time specified?
If deposits are not received by the deadline, client acknowledges that the date chosen by client will be forfeited until the deposit is received by StudioE519.
-
When is my final payment due?
Your final payment will be due after the mixing and/or mastering has been completed and before the completed work will be released.
-

-
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, and all major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover) as well as PayPal.
-
Is my deposit refundable?
Deposits for services are non-refundable if not cancelled at least 72 hours prior to services date. If you have an issue with your session date, please read our pocliy on scheduling or contact SutdioE519. Deposits made for work comissioned on-line are non-refundable.
-
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation with full refund of monies paid will be accepted up to 72 hours prior to the originally scheduled session date. If the cancellation is requested within 72 hours prior to the originally scheduled session date, any difference between the deposit and any monies paid will be refunded within two weeks.
-
What if something comes up and we can't make our session, but it's after the deadline to cancel?
If a scheduling conflict arises on the part of the client, every effort will be made by StudioE519 to agree on a new service date. However, the 72 hour cancellation policy will remain in effect from the originally scheduled session date. If a scheduling conflict arises on the part of StudioE519, alternate dates will be suggested. If no new service date can be agreed upon, StudioE519 will waive the cancellation policy and refund all deposits or monies paid to StudioE519 within two weeks of StudioE519 and client agreeing that no alternate date of service will suffice.

How long will it take before my songs are ready?
This depends on so many factors it is very difficult to say. However, rest assured that we are as excited to hear your finished vision as you and your fans are. So, every effort will be made for a speedy turn around but not at the expense of the quality of the final work. We want you to be able to pass your music to anyone and everyone as soon as you can, and we will even help, but we also want you to use StudioE519 next time and to spread the word! Just know you will be informed every few days of how things are going and how the completion date is shaping up.
-
How will I get my songs when they are finished?
When a title is ready for review, you will be supplied with a link to a cloud-based service account where your new tracks will be waiting. While it will only be a sample of each title, it will be more than enough for you and your mates to decide if you are happy or if there are some tweaks or suggestions you would like to try. Up to three revisions for each title are included in your final quote. Once everyone is happy, the final version will be uploaded and relased for download! If you prefer hard copies then you can request to have your final tracks supplied on a compact disc for a small extra charge.
-
Do I get to have input before the final version is ready?
This is supposed to be your vision so in a word; absolutely! That being said, keep in mind that there is a limit of three revisions for each title that are included in your quote. We are completely confident though that you will satisified before other options might need to be explored. (Hint: each revision has no limit on the number of suggestions. Just try and keep in mind that the engineer has studied the art of mixing, and you hired him for a reason. So, try and be reasonable with the types of suggestions, and that the more ideas there are, the longer it might take to finish. If you've got an idea you want to discuss though, bring it up!)
-
What format will my songs be in?
The tracks offered for your review will be in 44.1kHz/192kBs. This is a suitable compromise between file size and quality and will only be used for your review. Final versions of each title will be uploaded and available in the following formats:
-
Loseless WAV @ 44.1kHz/16 bit - the standard digital audio format used under Windows for burning CDs, with a file extension of .wav.
-
MP3 @ 44.1kHz/24 bit, 192kBs - high quality and an acceptable file size for streaming on a service of your choosing
-
MP3 @ 48kHz/24 bit, 320kBs - extremely high quality for personal use
These formats will also be available on compact disc if you request, for a small additional fee.
-
How does "on-line" mixing/mastering work?
If location prevents you from booking a session at our dedicated tracking room, on-line may be for you! A cloud-based account will be setup for you to upload all material for each title you are submitting for work. Once that has been done you will fall under the same proceudres, and care, as if you recorded here in person. All reviews, revisions, and final work will be handled as described above.
-
Do I retain the rights to my work?/Will StudioE519 sell my work?
Your music is just that; your music! This is true whether you recorded your vocals or even wrote that killer riff here at StudioE519, or if you submitted on-line. In fact, even if you decide not use the final versions of your music, StudioE519 will still do its best to promote your music and spread your name! StudioE519 will never claim any owership or rights to your music. Any monies paid to secure services of StudioE519 does constitute an agreement between the artist(s), or representatives thereof, and StudioE519 that StudioE519 may use the finished work for promotional purposes only (i.e., catalog of work, promotion of StudioE519 services on social media sights, etc.) and not for any use that would result in direct monetary gain, and that all creative credit will be given to the respective artist(s). In other words, we will promote your music like crazy, mentioning that you used StudioE519 of course, but will absolutely not sell you work!
